What to do....
So question,
What do you do with homosexuality??? As a christian I do believe it is wrong but how do I come to that conclusion based on the bible, besides the section in Romans 1? And while I know it exists in Leviticus, why would we choose to follow that law and not the others that exist in that book.
If one were to have a discussion about why it is wrong biblically, what would that look like in the modern and liberal world that one lives in??
I seriously do want to know....it's something that has been on my heart for quite awhile now.

First of all, the very first example of a Godly relationship is the creation of Eve specifically for Adam. That is THE model for the rest of humanity...one man with one woman...male & female. A sexual bond (one flesh), that God instituted at creation, is only possible with a man and a woman, not a man and a man or a woman and a woman. Paul confirms this teaching in Romans & I Cor. 6:9. It is a woman who is the sexual complement to a man. Also see I Tim 1:10.These verses seem very clear about the need for absolute prohibition of homosexual activity.God's Word has to be the final standard, not a person's feelings. Society is bent on living by their emotions and feelings. But homosexuality is consistently viewed as sinful according to scriptures. ANY sexual activity outside of marriage is sinful. It is clear that marriage was designed to be one man and one woman.
We are thankful for the good news of Jesus Christ that removes the penalty for ALL sins.
Much of the Mosaic law deals with the ceremonial worship system for the Hebrews. God gave the instructions for that government for that time that set Israel apart from other nations.
Those are good points, Margaret. Romans 1 clearly presents homosexuality as "unnatural" and "indecent"; they were given over to it as a result of the sinful desires of their hearts and "received . . . the due penalty for their perversion." Also, God specifically says in Gen. 1 that a "man shall . . . be united to his wife" - not to his "life partner"!
there are many prominent pastors & speakers who hedge on this topic, but can't give any biblical support for their opinion; and I believe this is largely due to fear of man/ the path of least resistance. this sin is on my heart a lot as well, having dealt with it for a number of years with a close family member. You are right to go to God's Word for answers!
